1. Everything’s faster with 5G
The OPPO Reno 5G is one of the UK’s first phones that you can use on our new 5G network. With 5G reaching 16 cities in 2019 and many more next year, you’ll be able to connect to the internet more reliably in busy areas and at busy times, download HD films and entire box sets in seconds rather than minutes and get instant access to your favourite apps and games.
5G also opens up a world of new possibilities when it comes to virtual reality experiences and augmented reality gaming, where real world and virtual world environments seamlessly blend together, including games such as Pokémon Go and Harry Potter: Wizards Unite.
2. The clever shark-fin design makes movies more immersive
With an incredible 93.1% screen-to-body ratio, the OPPO Reno 5G is one of the most immersive ways to watch content on any phone. The 6.6-inch AMOLED display goes from edge to edge, with the most minimal of bezels, so you can fully focus on what’s important.
This nearly all-screen design has been achieved with an ingenious new design. By housing the selfie camera, front-facing soft light, receiver and rear flash inside the phone on a rising shark-fin, there’s more room for the display.
When you want to take a selfie, the shark fin silently and gracefully rises in just 0.8 seconds – and it’s good for around 200,000 standard uses, which works out around 20 times a day for 27 years.
And because accidents can happen, free-fall protection kicks in automatically to protect your camera if you drop your phone.
3. The main camera packs plenty of pixels
It’s not just the selfie camera that impresses, either. The OPPO Reno 5G features a triple camera system on the back of the phone, with an incredible 48MP main lens. With so many pixels on board, you’re able to capture incredible levels of detail – enabling you to print out and supersize your images for framed photos and canvases.
For portraits and close-up shots there’s a 13MP telephoto lens, while a 10x hybrid zoom means you can really home in on all the details within the frame – such as the intricate details on a building or the expression on someone’s face from far away. Then there’s an 8MP 120° wide-angle lens, which lets you create gorgeous landscape photos and group shots with your friends and family.
With Ultra Night Mode 2.0 combining faster focusing, ultra-large sensors and aperture, HDR and multi-frame noise reduction, which automatically takes multiple images and combines them for the best-quality image, your photos will look great in low-light too.
Daytime photos come to life with the OPPO Reno 5G’s stylised lighting effects, including bokeh intensity, and the Dazzle Colour Mode, which intelligently recognises different settings and scenarios and automatically optimises brightness and colour.
Plus, on the video front you can record in 4K quality, giving you epic video content that you can showcase in all its glory on a compatible 4K TV.
4. It’s a gaming god
The OPPO Reno 5G has been designed with gamers in mind. As well as having a great screen for gaming, the phone analyses and adapts to refresh rates, latency and control issues, for the best performance in real time.
What’s more, three different cooling technologies (cooling gel, triple graphite layering and copper pipes) work together to control your phone’s temperature and give you a smooth gaming experience. Overall, the cooling system reduces your phone’s temperature by 13%.
