Get your mates over for some live BT Sport action

31 July 2018

Watching live sport on your phone or tablet using the BT Sport app is great when you’re out and about - but wouldn't it be good if you could enjoy the same experience on your TV at home?

Well now you can - just sign up for BT Sport casting and you'll be able to flick all your favourite sports from the screen of your phone to the telly. Perfect for capturing that 'big game' atmosphere from the comfort of your home with your family and friends.

BT Sport casting – how it works

You can ‘cast’ the BT Sport app onto your TV using Apple TV or Google Chromecast. Casting basically means that whatever appears on the screen of your phone or tablet when you open the BT Sport app will be mirrored on your TV screen. You can use it just like you would normally, the only difference is that it’ll be as big as the TV you own. To find out more about how to use casting see our Apple TV casting guide or our Google Chromecast guide.

What’s so great about BT Sport?

BT Sport is the home of world class sport - top-flight football from the Premier League, UEFA Champions League and Europa League, plus the drama of the FA Cup. It's not just the live coverage that's great, there's also plenty of exclusive content to enjoy, including the latest news, videos, interviews and analysis, plus the chance to watch your team's last-minute winner over and over again.

If football's not your bag, there's loads of other great sports content too. Take your pick from Major League Baseball, MotoGP race coverage, rugby union action from the Premiership and WTA tennis, plus much, much more.

Free for the first three months on EE

EE customers who've never signed up to the BT Sport app before can try it out completely free of charge for the first three months. Just text SPORT to 150 and we’ll send you all the info you need to get started. You’ll also get BT Sport casting free for three months too, so you can sample the app's full potential.

What about my data allowance?

The best part about the free trial is that there’s no limit to how much you can watch. Enjoy streaming all the stuff you love day and night and we won’t take anything away from your data allowance. Once the trial is over you’ll be charged at standard rates according to the plan you’re on.

It’s flexible too

While a lot of sports subscriptions will tie you in for 12 months, BT Sport allows you to be as flexible as you like. Want to throw a party and invite friends over to watch the Champions League final? Just sign up for £5 a month for the BT Sport app (free if you’re a Max Plan customer) and £10 a month for casting, then once the big game is over you can cancel – no strings attached. It beats being stuck with a long and expensive contract that you’ll hardly use.
