The new OnePlus 6T – life in the fast lane
The OnePlus 6T is all about speed – designed to make everyday tasks faster and easier to carry out.
A speedy processor and up to 8GB of RAM cut through data-intensive tasks, letting you work with multiple applications at the same time without slowing your phone down.
Plus, action-packed open-world games look epic and run smoothly, apps and social media feeds load up quickly, and the camera opens and is ready to take photos in just 0.6 seconds.
Everything is quick, easy and effortless – so you’re not waiting around for things to happen.
Of course, if you’re always blasting baddies on Fortnite or forever flicking through your Instagram feed you’re going to quickly drain your battery. That’s not a problem for the OnePlus 6T. Simply connect to the power plug and give it 30 minutes to re-energise. The result is a whole day’s worth of power – so you can keep revisiting those console classics and scroll to your heart’s content.

A new and faster way to unlock your phone
The stand-out feature on the OnePlus 6T has to be the revolutionary on-display fingerprint scanner – it’s a real game-changer.
Entering fiddly PINs or passwords to unlock your phone takes time. Biometric authentication speeds things up – facial scans, iris identification and fingerprint scanning are much faster, but you often have to stand still for your phone to get a clear reading or feel for the fingerprint scanner on the back of the phone. You might even find yourself placing your finger over the camera lens instead.
OnePlus has found a way to unlock your phone faster, and it’s still just as secure. On the OnePlus 6T you simply have to place your finger on the display to unlock your phone – in an incredible 0.4 seconds! It’s some of the fastest sensor technology you’ll find on a smartphone.

One for looks
More screen usually means paying more money, and high-end looks can result in a higher price-tag. But OnePlus has built a reputation for crafting smartphones that appeal to both the price and style-conscious.
The OnePlus 6T features a stunning near-edge-to-edge, 6.41-inch AMOLED display with a 2340x1080 resolution. Put simply, that’s better than Full HD-quality video on one of the largest displays on any phone you can currently buy. It’s perfect for watching shows on Amazon Prime or live streaming Premiership and Champions League action via the BT Sport app (available for free to our Max plan customers for an incredible 24 months).
A big plus for photography fans
Photography has always been at the heart of OnePlus phones, and the 6T ups the ante with a 16-megapixel primary and a 20-megapixel secondary camera. Then there’s the 16-megapixel front-facing camera, which is housed inside the elegant waterdrop-shaped notch at the top of the beautiful display.
The front-facing camera helps you snap superior selfies by letting you adjust background blur, while the rear-facing dual cameras feature a trio of handy features. Optimised image stabilisation ensures your images look less blurry even in low-light conditions, Quick Capture takes instantaneous shots as soon as you launch your camera, and Smart Capture optimises your camera settings for each shot, giving you a great photo every time.
On the video front, the super slow-mo feature lets you capture a staggering 480 frames-per-second in high definition, making the smallest details look epic.

OxygenOS – the best of Android and OnePlus
OnePlus’s operating system offers a near stock Android experience, with just a few light touches to deliver a fast and smooth smartphone experience. OnePlus smartphones are always quick to get the latest Android operating systems and updates, and the OnePlus 6T is one of the first phones available with Android 9 Pie on board straight out the box.
OxygenOS’s top tweaks to Android 9 Pie include the ability to grab screenshots, control your music, launch apps and take photos using simple finger gestures. There are some neat customisation options too.
You can add apps, widgets and contacts to your ‘Shelf’ so your most used features are always quick and easy to find. You can set up an ‘App Locker’ to secure files, photos and apps (and mute their notifications) that can only be accessed with your private PIN or unique fingerprint. And you can activate ‘Reading Mode’, which displays a monochrome effect that makes reading text easier on your eyes.

Sounds like a great phone… but who are OnePlus?
OnePlus has been making waves in the world of smartphones for a little while now. Since they first hit the scene in 2014, they’ve released phones that combine beautiful looks and cutting-edge features at affordable prices.
The OnePlus mantra is to ‘Never Settle’ and they continue to produce smartphones that pick-up lots of plaudits from phone fans and plenty of awards, including Stuff magazine’s 'Smartphone of the Year' in 2016 for the OnePlus 3.
Following on from this, the 5T scored a five-star review in T3 Magazine in 2017. The OnePlus 6 was named a Which? Best Buy and received Expert Reviews’ 'Product of the Year' award, while the Telegraph rated it as “the best value handset that’s just short of perfect.”
