27 June 2019

Huawei has revealed they will be releasing their much-anticiapted folding phone, the Mate X, later this year - and it will be 5G compatible.

As well as new 5G capabilities - delivering faster speeds and almost instant access to the internet even in busy areas and at busy times, the Huawei Mate X also features a foldable screen, AI and an all-new mode of interfacing to boast an unprecedented user experience. A 2-in-1 smartphone and tablet, the Mate X comes with a flexible OLED panel and a Falcon Wing Mechanical Hinge that blends style with technology. It's equipped with the world’s first 7nm 5G multi-mode modem chipset Balong 5000, and a high-capacity 4,500mAh battery.

When paired with EE’s 5G network, it will allow users to make the most from the latest content whether that’s online gaming or watching 4K content on the go.

EE is switching on 5G sites in 16 UK cities in 2019.
